It wasn't that long ago that creating a website was a big - and expensive - undertaking. But, thankfully, that's not the case any longer. Or at least it doesn't have to be.
I've managed the production of many website over my 10+ year career. My first one was more a decade ago, for the large corporation I worked for at the time. The project (which turned out great and earned our company an unsolicited 'A' rating from the Ragan Web Report) took many months, required us to be completely reliant on a web developer, and came at a very high price tag. When my Husband launched his small business around the same time, the technical set-up of his first (very simple) website cost him over $5000 - a fortune for someone just starting out.
Luckily things have changed - a lot - since then.
These days, a website can be created in a matter of days, with no technical knowledge and very little budget. And there are many ways to get the job done. Many people swear by Wordpress and I do agree that it's a great platform. But it can be even easier - and cheaper - than that. My favourite tool for creating professional looking and user-friendly sites is Weebly.
My site is built on Weebly. So's this one (my Husband's). And this one. I created all three of them from scratch, without a lick of knowledge about HTML.
There are other tools out there similar to Weebly. I've used Wix, and heard great things about Squarespace. But for me, nothing beats Weebly. The designs are beautiful, it's ridiculously easy to use, and it offers blog and e-commerce functionality, as well as a host of other great features and tools to help you run your business.
And it's cheap. Their Pro option, which has been sufficient for all the sites I've ever built, comes at a cost of less than $9/month. (In case you're curious, here's an overview of the three package options and what you get.)
Bottom line: if you're looking to get a website up and running fast and on the cheap, you can't beat Weebly. As long as you have some idea of what you want and a general understanding of website best practices, you should be able to take care of the set up solo.
If, on the other hand, you need some assistance in that department, well, today's your lucky day. I've just launched a 'Whole Shebang' website package which includes the set up and design of a Weebly site in addition to content. You'll walk away with a professional-looking site filled with clear and strategic content, built with website best practices in mind. I'll even teach you how to maintain it. You can't go wrong.
So. I don't normally run promotions but I'm so excited about this package that I'm offering $200 (that's 20%!) off. But only for the first five customers who claim it. It's already a great deal, and it just got even better. Get in touch today and let's get started!
